SHOCKING NEWS: CHRISTIAN OBODO HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED, RANSOM SET AT US$200,000

Nigeria midfielder Christain Obodo has been abducted by unknown gunmen in southern Nigeria.

A family friend has told BBC Sport that the kidnappers have issued a ransom demand for nearly US$200,000.

Police in Warri are yet to issue any official statement regarding the missing footballer.



Obodo, who was on loan at Italian side Lecce from rivals Udinese last season, was driving alone early on Saturday morning when he was abducted.
