Viyana'daki son gecemizde Puccini'nin Tosca operasını seyretmek için Staatsoper (Devlet Opera Binası)'daydık.Viyana'ya gelişimizin hatrına o üç saatlik operayı seyrettik ama anladım ki sadece kendisi değil, seyretmesi de ayrı bir sanatmış! French authorities say that an un-named 25year old man committed suicide by jumping off the Eifel tower during the twilight periods of sunday evening. The french authorities were been able to confirm his nationality, stating that the man was of isreali origin although they are yet to know if he was a tourist or not. He was said to have jumped off the 3rd height of the Eifel tower which is about 906feet from the ground and landed on the 2nd. He died on impact. The tower measures at 1063feet high. So I guess he was almost at the top, therefore something called common sense should have told him not to jump.

Speculations are rife that the once harmonious relationship between the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood and its counterpart, Ghana's Ghollywood,is currently under threat as the movie marketers under the aegis of Film, Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria (FVPMAN) has placed embargo on Ghanaian films with effect from the end of this month. The association has also resolved to halt the distribution of films produced by non-professionals. It insists that if such film(s) must be distributed at all, its right of ownership should be transferred to its members on negotiation. The FVPMAN chairman, Onitsha branch, Mr. Uzo Godson Nwosu who confirmed this development to HVP, said this position was taken after the association's general meeting last weekend in Onitsha. According to him, the decision became necessary following the position taken by their Ghanaian counterparts who have banned the distribution of Nigerian films in their country long time ago. Former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo says Nigeria is losing billions of naira in medical tourism, which is killing the country's health sector. Kanu, who founded the Kanu Heart Foundation, said money lost to treatments sought abroad could be invested in the health sector to improve its present deplorable condition and restore confidence in health workers. He made the comments in Abuja as the Foundation opened its Heal-a-Heart lottery for N5 billion to fund a cardiac centre. "Life has taught me that acquiring properties or materials things is important, but what should be ones priority is saving lives," said the former Eagles captain. Some 450 patients have been flown abroad in the past for heart surgeries, costing millions of naira Kanu said all went into the coffers of other countries instead of Nigeria's economy.
